Collaboration & Knowledge Management Software

Project Management can be assisted by having a knowledge management repository so that you can look back at what you learnt last time and have the ability to reuse documents or approaches. There are a number of software solutions but this one , collaborator, is extremely useful and is used at Leeds University to help them run multiple projects and to keep customers in touch with what is going on. It has extensive search capabilities allowing project teams to be rapidly built.

Networking Tool #2

Another useful networking tool is Linkedin. This allows you to connect to people, describe your job and role, connect to old colleagues etc. It doesn't have the same level of interaction as eCademy but is very useful for connecting and keeping your connections. There are a number of tools which allow you to synchronise your address book and Linkedin.
